Avenged Sevenfold Scores First ever No. 1 Album

August 5, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Avenged Sevenfold popularly called A7X has bagged its first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with “Nightmare’. “Nightmare’ pushes off Eminem’s “Recovery’ to second place.

Reportedly, “Nightmare’ is the band’s maximum charting set. It also surpassed their previous credentials and achievements. The A7X debut peaked at No. 4. It was released in the year of 2007.

That album “Nightmare’ has also provided the band with the highest number of sales in their life. It sold 94,000 copies after its launch in the market.

The fresh album left behind preliminary sales figures without difficulty. Some industry experts thought that the figure would range from 120,000 to 130,000 copies.

It seemed that “Nightmare’ might be a top contender for the number 1 position, which it eventually claimed.These predictions were pronounced to be false last Wednesday night and in the early hours of Thursday morning. However, the album has been touted to hit the jackpot.
